Equipment Requirements
Tulsa Fencing Club offers use of club equipment during the 4 week Introduction to Fencing Class. After the Intro Class is completed a full membership and purchase of equipment will be required. There are two times you will buy equipment. The first time is for the 10 week Beginning Foil Class and the second time is right before the 10 week Intermediate Class. Equipment usually takes 7 to 10 days to arrive, so plan ahead. Below is a list of required equipment. The price range is taken from Absolute Fencing (low price) to Leon Paul (high price). All of the vendors TFC links to provide good equipment.
BEGINNING FOIL
- Dry / Practice Foil, French Grip, #5 Blade – Price Range $25 to $70
- Jacket – Price Range $30 to $180
- Mask – Price Range $45 to $230
- Glove – Price Range $10 to $45
- Underarm Protector – Price Range $15 to $60
- Chest/Breast Protector – Price Range $10 to $45 (required for women)
INTERMEDIATE FOIL
- Electric Foil, Bayonet Plug – Price Range $38 to $160
- Foil Lame – Price Range $65 to $140
- Body Cord – Price Range $12 to $30
