Mission Statement
The mission of the Tulsa Fencing Club is to provide the highest level of instruction, broaden the base of fencing in the Tulsa area, preserve the history and traditions of fencing, and develop Tulsa fencers both socially and competitively.
During the 2010 to 2011 year, the Tulsa Fencing Club decided to make a significant financial investment in its future and fencing equipment. We purchased new scoring machines and fencing reels. The purpose was to allow our Club Members to become familiar with the same equipment used at regional and national tournaments. The response has been overwhelming! The scoring machines not only meet the new timing requirements for foil and saber, but they also use a remote control!
We also purchased an electronic fencing target. During our weekly meeting it is not uncommon to see a line of fencers in front of the target ready to play the fencing equivalent of “Whac-a-Mole!”
